London's free anti-racist music festival, Rise: London United Against Racism, takes place this Sunday (15 July 2007) at Finsbury Park, North London. Went last year and enjoyed being chirpsed by nuff 17 year old boys. Listen baby, desperate times call for desperate measures.

This time round, the line-up includes Kelis and the Skatalites (now that's what I'm talking about) as well as loads of other music and comedy acts. Check the link above for more info.

You know what though? I miss festivals like this:

What happened to those days? When crowds stormed playing fields and did the funky chicken en masse. When men were men and were brave enough to wear dodgy pink short suits even though they looked like a freak. Fun times.
